Excellence

Larry’s Leadership Launch

He exceeded my expectations. In a time where underperforming is becoming the norm, he did the opposite. Francisco is a young entrepreneur who is building a business the right way. But it has not been easy. He came to our country under the Dreamer program as a 15-year-old. Under the guidance of his uncle, he finished school while working and learning a trade. He then set out to meet the qualifications needed to become a citizen of the US.

His eye for excellence and his incredible work ethic have earned him an opportunity to own his own company. The work is long and hard, but you will not hear a complaint from Francisco. His humility is refreshing, and the quality of his work is inspiring. We recently contracted with him to do a project in our home.

He arrived early, worked late, and finished the project ahead of schedule. His craftsmanship was excellent and left us with the desire to refer his services to others.

I am proud of Francisco. I am proud that hard work still matters. I am proud of those who continue to labor and who make this country the land of opportunity.

When we choose to demonstrate excellence and hard work, we will make a difference.

Excellence at North Wind begins with a commitment to doing things well, both in the details and in the bigger picture. It’s not only about completing tasks, but about how we work together, approach challenges, and stay focused on shared goals. Excellence comes through in our communication, the quality of our work, and the responsiveness we bring to each task. These qualities strengthen one another, creating consistency and reliability across the organization.

I often say ‘pursue excellence, ignore success.’ Success is a by-product of excellence.
— Deepak Chopra

Communication is the first step. When information is clear, timely, and consistent, people know what is expected and how to move forward with confidence. Strong communication prevents confusion, reduces delays, and allows everyone to stay aligned with shared objectives. It also creates space for questions and collaboration, which are essential when solving complex problems.

Quality reflects our standards. It is not only about accuracy or precision in the work itself, but also about the care we bring to each task. When quality is prioritized, it builds trust inside and outside the organization. People learn that they can rely on the results we deliver, which strengthens both partnerships and performance.

Responsiveness demonstrates attentiveness and adaptability. Challenges and opportunities rarely arrive on schedule, and the ability to adjust quickly is part of Excellence. A responsive approach shows respect for others’ needs and helps keep the momentum steady, even when circumstances are uncertain.

Together, these values shape a culture of Excellence where people know their work matters and where results consistently reflect the highest standards of North Wind.
